Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 6, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CheckHabit, including our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
CheckHabit is a personal discipline and reflection platform designed to help users build habits, record daily reflections, attach notes to habits, and understand long-term patterns through insights and analytics.
By accessing or using CheckHabit, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use of the Service.
1. Eligibility & Acceptance of Terms
CheckHabit is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you become aware of such a case, please contact us at contact@checkhabit.com and we will delete it promptly.
If you use CheckHabit on behalf of an organization, team, or institution, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Continued use of the Service indicates acceptance of these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
CheckHabit provides tools that allow users to track habits, organize routines across life categories, write habit notes, answer guided daily reflection questions, and view insights about patterns across days, weeks, months, and years.
AI-Generated Insights: The Service uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze your activity, notes, and reflections to generate personalized "Daily/Weekly/Monthly" Insights. While we strive to provide helpful and accurate insights, AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and should not replace professional advice.
The Service is available as a web application and a mobile application (for Android). Certain features may vary between platforms.
The Service may evolve over time. We may introduce new features, improve existing functionality, or modify parts of the platform. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain permanently available.
2b. Mobile App License & Permissions
When you download and use the CheckHabit mobile application, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on a device you own or control.
This is a license, not a sale. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the mobile application
- Use the app on a device that has been unlawfully modified (e.g., rooted) in a way that circumvents platform security
- Transfer your license or account to another person without our written consent
Device Permissions: The CheckHabit app may request the following device permissions to deliver its features:
- Notifications — to send habit reminders and alerts you configure
- Storage (where applicable) — to export your data to a local file
You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device's system settings. Revoking permissions may limit certain features but will not affect your ability to use the core Service.
Important: Google LLC is not a party to these Terms. Google has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or warranty for CheckHabit. Any claims related to the app should be directed to us at contact@checkhabit.com, not to Google.
3. Account Registration & User Responsibility
Some features of CheckHabit require account registration.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current account information
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Be responsible for all activity occurring under your account
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of CheckHabit complies with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Free Plan & Access
CheckHabit offers a free plan that allows users to explore the core features of the Service.
- The free plan includes limited habit tracking, journaling, and insights.
- Users may upgrade to a paid Pro plan to unlock additional features.
- We may modify the features included in the free plan over time with reasonable notice.
5. Subscriptions, Payments & Billing

By purchasing a Pro plan, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable subscription fees and taxes
- Provide accurate billing information
- Authorize payments through our designated payment provider
Pro access is granted for the duration of the purchased subscription period.
5b. In-App Purchases & Platform Billing
If you purchase a Pro subscription through the Google Play Store, your purchase is subject to that platform's payment terms and refund policies:
- Google Play's refund policy: support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637
For subscriptions purchased directly through our website, our Refund Policy applies.
Payments processed via Google Play are handled entirely by Google. CheckHabit does not have access to your payment card information in these cases.
5c. Advertising (Free Plan)
The free plan of the CheckHabit mobile app is supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob. By using the free plan, you acknowledge that:
- Ads are served by Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google may use your Advertising ID to serve personalized ads. You can opt out via your device's ad settings.
- Upgrading to a Pro plan removes all advertisements from the app.
6. Acceptable Use Policy

7. Intellectual Property
All software, designs, branding, content, and technology associated with CheckHabit are owned by or licensed to us.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or internal use only.
No ownership rights are transferred to you. The CheckHabit name, logo, and branding may not be used without our prior written consent.
8. User Content & Data
While using CheckHabit, you may create and store personal data such as habits, notes, and daily reflections.
You retain full ownership of this content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process and store this data solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.

On-Device Data: Data stored locally on your mobile device (for offline access or caching) is your responsibility. CheckHabit is not liable for loss of locally stored data resulting from device failure, reset, or loss.
Data Export: Pro plan users may export their data through the account settings. We encourage you to export your data before deleting your account.
9. Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, CheckHabit may send you reminders and alerts based on your configured habits and preferences.
- Notifications are a feature of the Service, not a guaranteed delivery mechanism.
- CheckHabit is not liable for missed reminders due to device settings, connectivity issues, or platform delivery failures.
- You can disable notifications at any time through your device's system settings.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
CheckHabit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including:
- Accuracy or completeness of insights or analytics
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation of the web or mobile app

Results related to personal productivity or habit improvement may vary by individual.
11. Limitation of Liability
CheckHabit is a tool intended to support habit tracking and personal reflection.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, device issues, or missed notifications.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service during the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if:
- These Terms are violated
- Required by applicable law
- The Service is discontinued or significantly changed
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be removed immediately.
- Your personal data will be deleted immediately and permanently upon account deletion. This action cannot be undone.
- Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
You may also delete your account at any time through the account settings.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
CheckHabit is available to users worldwide. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of this Service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you may have under the mandatory consumer protection or data protection laws of your country of residence. Where local law grants you rights that cannot be contractually waived, those rights continue to apply.
Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at contact@checkhabit.com. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction applicable to the operator, or to your local courts where required by mandatory local law.
